Trauma-informed practice and inclusion training

Delivering training to your staff and volunteers to create an inclusive and safe environment for all within your organisation.

Our training sessions have already been delivered to volunteer managers across the country and received great feedback, inspired new ways of working and welcomed more people into volunteering.

Below you will see a brochure of our training courses. Currently we are only offering group bookings of 6-15 people.

Understanding trauma-informed practice

This is a short 35 minute session that will introduce the key principles of trauma-informed practice and briefly explain how this can impact volunteer management.

Trauma-informed practice in volunteer recruitment and onboarding

This 2.5 hour session will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice and then apply those principles to the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers from advertisement, through to application, interview and induction.

Trauma-informed practice in volunteer management

This 4 hour session will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice and then apply those principles to various aspects of volunteer management recruitment and onboarding of volunteers from advertisement, through to application, interview, induction and further management including volunteer training and supervision.

Being trauma-informed in how we deliver volunteer training

This 1.5 hour session will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice and then apply those principles to how you develop trauma-informed training for your volunteers.

Trauma-informed practice for volunteers

This 2 hour session is designed for volunteers who may be working with vulnerable children or adults who have experienced trauma. The session will introduce the principles of trauma-informed practice and then offer some suggestions of ways of working to support beneficiaries.

This session can be customised to your individual organisation to specifically reference lived experiences of your beneficiaries or how trauma may manifest in different age groups, however this will come at additional cost.

Lunch and learns or all staff calls

If you are looking for something more informal like a 20 minute slot in your all-staff call or a lunch and learn this can also be arranged. Normally we would spend 15-20 minutes presenting the key themes of trauma informed practice linking to some examples of volunteer management with and additional 5-10 minutes allowed for questions.
